video + live durational performance
Mana Contemporary, Chicago
February, 2014

A video performance projects onto the gallery wall. The video projection places me running in a graveyard, with pauses - shots of me taking my pulse and breathing in stillness. Over the duration of forty minutes in live performance time, I run the space of the gallery - my body in relation to and contrasting with the video. Interwoven within the live performance are moments where text is delivered - a hybridized narrative of personal memory, poetics, and factual evidence investigating the temporal body, death, and the trace my body leaves within a space/time.
