there are no dead people is a rumination on death and life, offering a deeply human exploration of loss. Devised by an ensemble through improvisation, Genesis’s new work interweaves movement, storytelling, and song to celebrate what makes life wondrous and meaningful. A vitamin for the soul, there are no dead people honors how in the midst of the inevitable and seemingly insurmountable, we somehow continue to find joy.
